Crew transfer is the process by which maintenance technicians are transferred by work boat (crew transfer vessel, CTV) to the turbine and vice versa. The pressure to achieve increased access to turbines implies a greater number of marginal-weather transfers. In order to achieve this while maintaining very high levels of safety, the ORACLES project seeks to develop a new crew transfer access forecasting capability.
